| Cale Yarbrough was born December 27, 1986 to Johnny and Sharon Yarbrough in Marietta, Georgia. A natural born athlete, Cale participated in a variety of sports growing up, including baseball, basketball, football, and swimming. After graduating from Wheeler High School in 2005 and starting school at Kennesaw State University, Cale began training at Knuckleup Fitness (formerly Velocity Kickboxing) with Mateo Cutbill. After seeing his knack for the sport, Mateo encouraged Cale to pursue MMA full-time. Cale started training with Rory and Adam Singer at the Hardcore Gym, after moving to Athens in 2006. Cale's amateur record is 5-0, with every bout ending by TKO. Cale currently holds the ISKA Amateur United States Light Heavyweight Championship belt. Cale also earned a spot on 'The Ultimate Fighter Season 7: Team Rampage vs. Team Forrest', where he is currently fighting for a chance to win a contract with the UFC. |
